As early as dawn, assigned departments from the Local Government Unit (LGU) – Municipality of Santa Rita, took part in ensuring the readiness, cleanliness, and safety of different public spaces in anticipation of the Lenten activities of the Catholic faithful.
Plans discussed during the Management Committee meeting held last March 26 are now being implemented; with safety and emergency preparations in full swing. The Municipal Health Office and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council has assigned personnel who shall be stationed in various areas of the Municipality. Ambulance and disaster response teams are on standby in case of emergencies.
For the attached agencies, the Philippine National Police (PNP) is on alert and activated Ligtas SumVac while the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) leads the Oplan Semana Santa.
Assistance during major activities is part of Mayor Reynan Calo’s strategic objective to ensure public safety, peace, and order within the Municipality.
