The Municipal Agriculture Office led the first-ever Municipal Fertilizer Subsidy Program under the administration of Mayor Reynan Calo, marking a significant step in supporting Santa Rita’s rice farmers.
For the first time, all qualified farmers from every barangay received fertilizer—ammonium sulfate (21-0-0 with sulfur)—completely free of charge. This initiative from Mayor Reynan Calo’s provides FULL subsidy, allowing wider and fairer access to assistance, and is fully funded by the Municipality of Santa Rita
Distribution follows a ratio of one bag for farms measuring 0.69 hectare and below, and two bags for farms 0.70 hectare and above. In the first rollout alone, more than 800 bags were distributed to nearly 400 farmers. Another session is scheduled next week to cover the remaining beneficiaries, bringing the total to approximately 800 farmers across Santa Rita.
A milestone program that reflects the administration’s commitment to uplift local agriculture and strengthen the well-being of Ritenian farmers.
