The Municipality of Santa Rita officially opened its Nutrition Month 2026 Celebration at the Santa Rita Plaza Covered Court, bringing together learners from 13 Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Centers in a colorful parade featuring creative costumes and decorated floats inspired by this year’s theme, “Nutrition at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!”

Mayor Reynan S. Calo, Vice Mayor Ferdinand Salalila, and members of the Sangguniang Bayan joined the celebration in support of programs that promote proper nutrition and the overall well-being of children. In his message, Mayor Calo emphasized that good health is essential for children to learn well in school and for every Ritenian to become productive and provide for their families.

Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Ma. Jacqueline F. Quiambao delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the importance of collective efforts in promoting proper nutrition and healthy communities.

As part of the celebration, the Municipal Government, through the initiative of Mayor Calo, also provided cash incentives to the participating ECCD Centers in support of their active participation and continued commitment to early childhood development.

The Municipality remains committed to strengthening programs that promote the health, nutrition, and development of every young Ritenian.
