The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) convened today under the leadership of Mayor Reynan Calo, together with MDRRMO Bryan Lumba, department heads, and attached agencies, to ensure the municipality’s readiness for the possible effects of Typhoon Uwan.
Discussions focused on preparedness measures, including monitoring of critical areas, flood-prone zones, and possible pre-emptive evacuations should the need arise.
Right after the meeting, Mayor Calo personally inspected the modular tents being set up at the Santa Rita Plaza Covered Court, which will serve as temporary shelters if evacuation becomes necessary.
