The streets of Santa Rita came alive as dancers, performers, and supporters gathered for the Putiucan Festival 2026, one of the most colorful and anticipated highlights of Piyestang Balen.
From the street dancing competition around the town proper to the free interpretative dance competition, participating groups showcased their energy, creativity, and dedication through performances inspired by the culture and identity of Santa Rita.
Adding to the excitement was the strong support from Ritenians who lined the streets and filled the venue to cheer for the performers that afternoon.
Emerging as this year’s champion was the Putiucan Dancers of Bayung Santa Rita, topping both the Street Dance Competition and the Free Interpretative Dance Competition.
More than a competition, the Putiucan Festival continues to celebrate the talent of our youth, the richness of our local culture, and the pride of being a Ritenian.
