Forty-two couples officially tied the knot during the Kasalang Balen held on February 14, 2026, at Irra’s Farm Events Place in Brgy. San Basilio, Sta. Rita.

The mass wedding ceremony was officiated by Mayor Reynan S. Calo, who shared meaningful advice with the couples as they begin a new chapter in their lives, emphasizing commitment, mutual respect, and shared responsibility in marriage.

The event was also graced by Vice Mayor Ferdinand “Dagi” Salalila, together with Members of the Sangguniang Bayan. Representatives from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) were present to facilitate the processing of civil registry documents.

As part of the municipality’s assistance to the couples, the venue and catering for the wedding celebration were fully provided, including the processing of marriage documents. Each couple also received wedding rings, a cash gift, and grocery packs from the local government. The celebration also included individual ceremonial cake slicing and a toast for every pair.

The activity was made possible through the efforts of the Mayor’s Office staff and the Municipal Civil Registrar (MCR) Office, who served as the primary organizing and coordinating teams to ensure the smooth conduct of the ceremony.

Kasalang Balen is one of the activities under the Caluguran Week, celebrating love and family in the community.
