Mayor Reynan S. Calo opened the week with a greeting as Christmas Day draws near, marking the final days of the holiday season.
He reported the ongoing house-to-house visits to bedridden senior citizens, where Mayor Calo personally checked on their condition and extended assistance and Christmas gift packs. Seven barangays have already been covered, with three more scheduled for this week.
The Mayor also noted the distribution of cash assistance to 13 Child Development Centers, benefiting daycare learners across the municipality.
He shared the distribution of physical education uniforms to students from 12 public elementary and high schools. The uniforms helped ease school-related expenses for parents and came as timely gifts for students and their families ahead of the holidays.
Mayor Calo further acknowledged the recent Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) payout for farmers, fisherfolk, and indigent families from various barangays, held at the Dila-dila Sports Center. The assistance was provided by the DSWD and facilitated through the Provincial Government, with thanks to Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, and Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
As the week continues, the LGU will proceed with the distribution of remaining payouts and Christmas gift packages. This is Paskong Caloguran Light and Love; bringing hope and care to Ritenians this holiday season.
