Former President and 2nd District Representative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo visited Teatru Santa Rita, the Municipality’s Public Auditorium, together with former Congresswoman Carissa “Iyay” Coscolluela, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), and representatives from the CCP.
They were welcomed by Mayor Reynan S. Calo, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, representatives from the Municipal Engineering Office, the Municipal Culture, Arts, and Tourism Office, and the Provincial Engineering Office for a site visit and initial discussions on the future development of the facility.
Among the plans discussed were the proposed improvements to the auditorium, including bleachers, stage enhancements, soundproofing, and interior finishing, as well as its potential use as a venue for this year’s Pampanga Day celebration and future cultural programs in the province.
The Municipal Government of Santa Rita expresses its gratitude to Cong. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, and the Cultural Center of the Philippines for their continued support and shared vision of transforming Teatru Santa Rita into a venue for arts, culture, and community events.
