Bayung Sta. Rita Hosts Division Elementary Schools Press Conference

Sta. Rita hosted the Division Elementary Schools Press Conference (DESPC) at Sta. Rita College, bringing together elementary campus journalists from various schools across Pampanga for the division-level journalism competition.

In his welcome message, Mayor Reynan S. Calo greeted the delegates and visitors to Bayung Santa Rita and briefly underscored the importance of truth and responsibility in campus journalism, while reminding participants to enjoy the experience and practice sportsmanship throughout the competition.

Sta. Rita College President Jose Antonio Blas L. Carlos, Jr. delivered the welcoming remarks, followed by the message of Schools Division Superintendent Romeo M. Alip, PhD, CESO V.

An intermission number by ArtiStaRita highlighted local talent, while Ian Flora, a seasoned Kapampangan journalist and Sta. Rita local, shared insights and personal experiences from his years in the field of journalism.

The program concluded with words of gratitude from Emily R. Maninang, PSDS, District of Sta. Rita.

The DESPC serves as the qualifying competition for the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC), where winners will represent Pampanga at the regional level.

Bayung Santa Rita continues to welcome opportunities to host division-wide academic and youth-centered activities, in partnership with educational institutions and the Schools Division of Pampanga.
